Wiveliscombe Tennis Club is located on the Recreation Ground in Wiveliscombe.

The club has three permanent all-weather courts on the site.

We are a thriving and friendly club who play throughout the year and welcome players of all abilities. Our club has three all weather courts, two of which have floodlights. We currently enter two senior teams into the West Somerset League.

• Club Sessions - everybody welcome. Thursdays from 7.00pm and Sundays 10.00am til noon.
• Coaching sessions for children with our Club coach
• Coaching for adults also available by appointment.
• A chance to play in both League and Friendly matches.

PRESS RELEASE: COURT INVASION IN WIVELISCOMBE Wiveliscombe families turned out in force on Sunday 22nd April to try their hands on court during the local Tennis Club's annual Open Day. Adults and children of all ages took turns to hit tennis balls in all directions, watched by an unprecedented number of visitors in and around the clubhouse. Lines of children queued for impromptu lessons with one of the Club's coaches Lauren Currie, who also took on a number of adults keen to improve their game. Membership Secretary Claire Fisher reported several families signing up for 2012 membership on the very first day of the season. Wiveliscombe Tennis Club has regular sessions on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings, plus adult coaching on Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

 

NEWS The ballot for Wimbledon tickets is upon us. The deadline is Saturday 5th May (6pm) for people to contact Anne 01984 629347 with their preferences and their LTA membership number. The ballot has to be held on the 6th May as I have the deadline of end of day 7th May. The process has changed this year and I have to enter the details online and then the lucky people will be contacted direct by LTA. The deadlines are earlier than last year but new members can join the LTA by the 6th May and be elligible for the ballot. If you are interested just come along when you can. These sessions won't be led by a committee member so please bring balls with you.
